The Gavia Jacket is made with a 3-layer mid-weight GORE-TEX fabric for the main body and sleeves. This fabric provides excellent protection from wind and rain, and is more durable than race-oriented fabrics. The jacket has a slightly more generous cut, ensuring comfort in any weather condition.

Stretch GORE-TEX panels in the shoulders and wrists allow for easy on and off, as well as greater freedom of movement. Stretch side panels improve the fit and can accommodate loaded jersey pockets under the jacket.

Despite its extreme weather capabilities, the Gavia Jacket can still be folded up and stored in a jersey pocket or frame bag, making it ideal for multi-day adventures.

Please note that our shell jackets are designed to fit over summer clothing only. If you need a waterproof jacket to wear over winter clothing, please size up. Otherwise, select your Castelli jacket in the same size as you would a jersey.
