The Wolf Tooth CAMO Elliptical Chainring for 12 Speed Shimano Hyperglide is designed to work in tandem with a CAMO spider and a Shimano HG+ 12-speed cassette. It is therefore only compatible with the matching 12-speed Shimano Hyperglide+ chain.

This chainring uses PowerTrac Elliptical^TM technology to ensure maximum efficiency. The larger diameter section engages the chain at the most powerful point of your downstroke, while the smaller diameter section does the same at the weakest point of the pedal stroke. This technology matches the power of the next biggest circular ring in both parts of the stroke.

Furthermore, Wolf Tooth's PTE rings are less ovalised than equivalent chainrings from other brands, resulting in a smooth pedal stroke similar to a round chainring. This ensures even power transfer and improved traction on technical climbs.

Using a CAMO chainring also has its advantages. It creates a perfect chainline, reducing wear and optimizing shifting precision. Additionally, CAMO chainrings are versatile, lightweight, inexpensive, and easy to mount.

This chainring is available in 30t and 32t sizes only. It features the Drop-Stop ST tooth profile, which has narrower teeth compared to the Drop-Stop A wide-narrow profile. The narrow teeth work similarly with the chain to prevent chain drop and promote longevity, while the wide teeth use the Symmetric Trapezoidal profile. The outside faces of the wide teeth do not touch the outer plate of the chain.
