**What is RCB?**
RCB or Recovered Carbon Black, is a material gained from recycling used tyres. In a partnered process with Pyrum Innovations, old tyres are initially shredded and then subjected to a thermochemical process called pyrolysis. The resulting carbon black not only serves as a filler and reinforcing agent in the rubber compound but also significantly influences the tyre's dynamic properties, including its abrasion resistance, rolling resistance and wet grip abilities. Furthermore, carbon black is utilised as a colouring element.
