Our engineers have innovatively harnessed wider inner rim widths, balancing width and bike performance. Ultimately, we've concluded with a precise 30mm inner width. Combined with a 650b wheel size, enjoy a remarkably stiff, quick-to-accelerate wheelset that exemplifies and enhances the playful characteristics your 650b bike is known for.
Crafted using our Zero Bead Hook technology, which eliminates the weak spot found in the traditional wheel, the Traverse SL Fattie creates a carbon rim that effectively absorbs impacts. This feature ensures that your wheels can withstand abuse from rocks without the worry of cracks or damage.
Sophisticated high modulus carbon fibre is employed to reduce weight within the rim. This design creates an all-mountain wheel that, at 1600 grams, sits within the weight range of many cross country wheel categories. To achieve this exceptional lightness, we meticulously hand build our shells around our alloy hubs, implementing high-quality DT Swiss Revolution spokes.
Sealed within our hubs are secured, smoothly-operating cartridge bearings, along with a quick-engaging 54-tooth DT Swiss star ratchet system in the rear. This design feature allows you to power over rocks and diverse terrains without delay.
Finally, the 110/148 variant of the Traverse SL Fattie enjoys all the benefits of Boost spacing.
