At its heart, the S-Works CruX Frameset features Rider-First Engineered Technology. Initially debuted on our Tarmac bikes, this approach uses size-specific tubes and layups for consistent ride characteristics across all model sizes. The implementation of this technology also leads to a significant reduction in weight. One incredible advantage of this weight loss is a frameset that hovers around just 900 grams for a 56cm specification*, making it over 400 grams lighter than its predecessors.
Next, we've taken compliance into consideration. We understand that a frame's performance during a cyclocross race hinges upon the perfect balance between stiffness and compliance. Which is why we've lowered the seat collar by two centimetres, promoting more exposed seatpost and cushioning for heavy impacts.
For riders aiming for the podium, we've designed the S-Works CruX Frameset to have a user-friendly top tube for easy shouldering during barrier hops. Alongside the large opening to the front triangle, it features a flat bottom for optimal handling. Perfect for muddy trenches, the S-Works CruX Frameset has an eight-millimetre clearance on all sides of a 33mm tyre. This thought-through feature ensures the bike maintains top form in muddy terrains. To subtract the worries of washing off sticky mud, select S-Works models come with a hydrophobic, mud-shedding paint that hinders mud from sticking to the frame.
