The geometry of S-Works Epic Hardtail is a masterstroke of design. With a longer top tube, shortened head tube and slackened front-end, your downhill stability is dramatically amplified. Additionally, this design change offers an extensive fit range without compromising on ascension efficiency.
Our relentless pursuit of perfection led us to reimagine how to make a lightweight frame even lighter. By scrutinising our layup schedules and resorting to complex cut carbon plys, we could significantly reduce weight, reinforce junctions, and augment stiffness. This revolutionary approach also carved the path for an exciting breakthrough – the brand-new Japanese military ballistic-grade carbon. The outcome? The lightest mountain bike we've ever designed. It weighs less than 900 grams for a size large frame — the equivalent of a full 24oz Purist water bottle!
