Picking up where our abrasion-resistant TRAIL Socks left off, the winter edition features added coverage and a thicker makeup to strike back when the going gets ultratough. It starts with the taller 24cm cuffs, which we made using a specific wool blend. Think lower-leg warmer here, as the boosted coverage lends itself to added insulation and protection from the elements. At the high-stress heel and toe zones, we again used our proprietary shieldKnit yarn that's super durable, buttery soft, and breathable, so your feet stay dry and comfortable inside your shoes. From there we targeted the arch, wrapping it with a lightly compressive band for further support and boosted breathability.
