Introducing the S-Works CruX Frameset from Specialized, the ultimate companion designed to conquer the challenging terrain of cyclocross. Engineered with a high-quality S-Works FACT 11r carbon frame, flat disc brake mounts, and a carbon seatpost, this frameset provides the ideal foundation for creating a custom-built 'cross race warrior.
The S-Works CruX features our state-of-the-art Rider-First Engineered™ technology, initially introduced on our Tarmac models. This technology utilises size-specific tubes and layups allowing the CruX to offer consistent ride characteristics across all sizes. A significant weight reduction has been achieved, with the frame weighing in at around 900 grams for a 56cm, over 400 grams lighter than its predecessor.
We understand that frame compliance is just as important as its lightness and stiffness in a 'cross race. That's why the new CruX offers perfectly balanced stiffness and compliance where it matters the most. We have also lowered the seat collar by two centimeters to allow for more exposed seatpost, ensuring greater cushioning for those heavy hits.
The S-Works CruX frameset design also considers the specifics of cyclocross races. The top tube is designed for easy shouldering when hopping off to clear barriers, boasting a large front triangle opening and a flat bottom. Stability in corners and on off-camber sections is enhanced with a low bottom bracket and a sharp front end, easing corner initiation regardless of terrain. Keeping maximum mud shedding capacity in mind, eight millimeters of clearance on all sides of a 33mm tire provides ample room in muddy conditions.
